“ The place was very nice, pretty lighting. The entrance to the restaurant is a bit tight, not much room to wait for a table or for friends. We sat upstairs and it was nice & warm for such a cold evening, I was able to take my jacket & sweater off. Service was excellent. The food was solid, interesting menu. I ordered the Elk Steak. The meat was great, but the soggy bread thing that came with it was a little weird. The flavors were not as vibrant as I'd like in the dishes we got, but the service and ambiance were nice. Drinks were fantastic. ”
“ Celebrated New Years Eve here with a special four course menu plus bread service. It was lovely dining under the string like lighting. Accordingly, it's perfect for a romantic night out or special meal. Our meal was delicious. We really liked the steak tartare and our actual steaks. My husband enjoyed the foie gras. The key lime dessert with chili was a real standout. Lark offers innovative dining options that are approachable to all palates. The staff are so nice and very good at pacing everything. You can expect to spend at least $100 plus tip, and you'll leave happy. See website for hours and menu. ”
“ If you're game than worth trying. Their menu consists of game as the focal point. Crudo was excellent with a tempura shishito leaf to add texture. Chawanmushi is a cold version next and soft and big portion Elk chop was nice and huge Wagyu was filling with the oxtail croquette Chef menu 4 items $125 everyone has to order but if you a little one. They can opt out. ”
“ Service was great and loved the ambiance, but everything seemed too expensive for what it was. It had a great farm to table concept and seemed like it was trying to be too fine dining, but not quite there. Enjoyed our meal and experience but probably won't try it again because it was a good one time experience and won't be memorable. Rigatoni was probably the best thing in the menu we tried and steak which was supposed to be medium rare felt very rare (hard to bite) Wine was good and dessert was mid ”
“ We had an enjoyable meal at Lark. It was my first time at this restaurant and I was impressed by the service. We had a reservation but our table was not ready when we got there so we waited at the bar for a bit. They apologized and did not charge us for the 2 cocktails we ordered. The ambiance is pretty modern. We decided to order the tasting menu and it was good except the wagyu beef had a weird texture, looked like the cut was not ideal, it had a tendon that made it hard to cut but the flavor was good. From the tasting menu I thought the soup and the hamachi crudo were absolutely fantastic! Definitely the best part of the meal. The tres leches crème brûlée was great as well. ”
“ Doing the four course tasting menu is an incredible experience I would recommend doing at least once! We came for the first time to celebrate my husband's birthday and they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne while we perused the menu. We found the gesture really sweet; and they even put a birthday candle on our dessert to celebrate! The service overall was fabulous, we had our water refilled continuously so we were never out (which is especially helpful in summer when I'm constantly feeling parched haha), and we had clean silverware provided after every dish and had the table swept for crumbs as well. Our server was very knowledgeable, welcoming and friendly, as was the rest of the staff! We felt well taken care of throughout the evening. Now to the meat of the review (no pun intended): The food is beyond amazing, and takes classic dishes to a whole new level. My favorite plate from the night was the rabbit croquettes. I enjoyed the peanuts included in the dish and found that the chorizo sauce had a well balanced kick that accentuated the whole meal. The salad was delicious but the asparagus a la plancha outshone it in my opinion. The dish has fried chicken skin shavings that provide an unreal richness to the vegetables, and is unlike any asparagus we've ever had. I could go on and on about every one of these dishes but I think it's best you go try them! Oh and make sure to build up an appetite before you go ;) ”
“ 5 star dining experience from start to finish James Beard award winning for a reason Staff are fantastic , welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable not only about the menu but source of the ingredients as well Menu covers all bases meat poultry and seafood with some vege options as well Very cool and chill vibe, quite liked the way the tables upstairs were separated by a curtain of fine see through material between them adding to the intimacy of the meal We had the English pea soup as a starter not something I would ever order but curiosity got the better of us and was not disappointed great flavour beautiful seasoned and combined with the truffled crispy cheesy bites with the iberico ham pieces baked inside was simply delicious The Iberian pork chop was perfectly cooked fork tender and delicious as was the halibut which with the salmon roe was a melt in your mouth taste of the sea and sensational while the sugar snap peas finely sliced were a subtle hit of sweet, fresh and a little crunch that complimented the fish perfectly Dessert, The Pav was beautiful to look at and great on its own but the brown sugared panna cotta , peanut butter sauce and bruleed bananas was a sweet sensation and great way to finish Extensive wine, spirits and cocktail menu with wine by the glass available as well Plenty of street parking and easy to get to out of the hustle and bustle of the city centre Fine dining and a memorable experience not soon forgotten ! Well worth the visit ”
“ New Year's Eve Prix Fixe Dinner We made reservations (of course). Arrived a few minutes early, but they were ready for us so were seated immediately. They checked / held our coats for us which was much appreciated since there wasn't a lot of room to 'stuff' them at the booth. The ambiance is upscale... classy, but not stuffy. Definitely a 'refined air' about the place, but in a casually elegant way. IMO.... Definitely a "date night" or "special occasion" type of place. Or maybe even a "power" business meal. This is going to be a Dining Experience with a capital D and E. Not a quick and boisterous meal. Service and Timing of everything was perfect. We were not rushed nor did we have to wait long in between courses. And our water glasses were always filled although I never saw them fill them. (hmmmm...) They have a lovely and great selection of cocktails and wines. We opted to go the wine route... and had a lovely bottle of Pouilly Fuisse and then additional glasses of wine later on. Because it was NYE, their full menu was not available. But their Prix Fixe menu was quite good so I don't feel like we were missing out on anything.... and I think most of what we had was on their regular menu. Plus, they had several options to upgrade to Caviar, Foie Gras and Wagyu if you wanted. We enjoyed the following: Amuse Bouche - seafood starter on crispy nori Bread service of 3 different types of 'bread'... one was actually a cracker Beet Salad Hamachi Foie Gras (because I decided to be fancy) Crab Bisque Burrata Cannelloni Black Cod Steak Mushroom risotto Quince tart/cake Chocolate torte/cake Lemon parfait Everything was tasty! And we did not leave wanting for anything... except maybe a warm blanket and a fire to sit by to continue digesting after all the decadence. Truly a lovely meal. Notables... * Hamachi ... melted in your mouth. I would have been happy eating another serving of this and calling it a night. Delicious! * The Foie Gras.... took me back to when my mom and I ate our way through Paris. It was unctuous and sinful. * Quince tart/cake.... I've never had quince before, so I was pleasantly surprised by how light this dessert was yet had a slight sweetness and slight holiday spice to it. I still can't describe what a quince looks like, but if I see it on the menu, I'd order it again just to see if it matched up to this one. There are so many incredible places to eat in Seattle so it's hard to choose. But this is definitely a Good One to experience if you want a nice Dining Experience. ”
